As some of you know my birthday was on August 16th. I am just recovering. Barely. I have had such a crazy month filled with fun and friends. Let’s see, I had a date a few days before that was amazing; I really like this guy. I may keep him. That was our 4th time out, our 1st real kiss (surprisingly Boss can move very slow when dating when she wants to). Great body, great looking guy with a great education & career & he’s totally fun. Just great. LOL.  More on him later. 

I had a date on my birthday of that was casual cool; this was with Master Africa, my off-again, on-again love of 3 years. We drank wine, smoked, watched the Animatrix, he gave me $500 to shop with and we did it. LOL. Works for me.  (Sidebar: I have gotten rid of hubby in LA already, and he is worse than a damn sub! I’m a heartbeat away from getting a restraining order because he is getting on my last nerve with the stalking calls and begging. Guess he just can’t let me go. Yeah, I even break Alpha men down to their knees…) We also went to see The Expendables the other day. Good flick.

I had a party with a girlfriend on the 14th because her bday is the 17th. That was filled with ourclassmates and friends. It was at a bar in Hyde Park called Jimmy’s. I can tell you now where it was since it was almost 2 weeks ago. LOL. I don’t go to Jimmy’s often, but it’s an awesome little UofC dive. Students, profs, neighborhood folks and the like. It’s actually called something else, but if you’re from Chicago and you ask for Jimmy’s in Hyde Park it would take an idiot to not be able to find it if you wanted to check it out. The beer is like $4.50 for all kinds of imports plus their grilled cheeses rock. I had a million Jaeger shots (straight) and Black and Tan as the chasers. Yeah I can really drink. Didn’t even have a hangover the next day. We kept the party moving to Park 52 where there was another party for another DJ (I had no intentions of spinning for my birthday!) and drank some more and danced some more and then I regaled my girls with tales of foot fetish freaks and how they could make $$$ with their feet & a bitchy attitude.

That day I went to lunch with one of my best male friends at Blackies. Had a burger and shot the shit with his vegan ass.

Last Saturday my girlfriend who is an attorney had a party at her apt around the corner from my place. Drank a whole lot and had really off the wall convos until 6am.

I went to see Rihanna last night and had awesome seats, row 9, which is about as to Rihanna as I wanna get. LOL. It was a good show. Missed Ke$ha because I was at the concession stand. Thank goodness! I really don’t like Ke$ha at all.
